And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
The Christmas season can be frantic and busy, joyful and hopeful. While many good things may occupy much of our time and attention, let us remember that the greatest part of all of Christmas is the gift of God himself. And that’s a gift worth celebrating.
Come celebrate with us! JFC is hosting a Christmas Eve, candlelight, family communion service, in the hopes of bringing together as many people as possible to celebrate and enjoy Jesus. Given the incredible number of people who don’t normally attend church but are willing to stop in at Christmas, this is a great time to invite friends, family, and anyone you know to join in an evening of singing Christmas carols and celebrating the birth of Jesus and taking communion! Everybody from everywhere is welcome to join!
